Softball Recap: Irondequoit Takes a Loss

Irondequoit was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the Our Lady of Mercy Monarchs, falling 14-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Monarchs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-2 back in April.

Irondequoit saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rihanna Montroy, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Irondequoit's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Our Lady of Mercy, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Irondequoit will welcome Webster Thomas at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Our Lady of Mercy, they will be playing at home against Eastridge at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
