Basketball Recap: Washington Catholic Takes a Loss

Washington Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 20th straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through an 80-11 loss at the hands of the Loogootee Lions. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 460th, while the Lions are ranked 228th).

Washington Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 0-19. As for Loogootee, they pushed their record up to 11-9 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Loogootee beat Washington Catholic by a score of 80-11 on Tuesday.
