Volleyball Recap: Anclote Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Anclote was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Tarpon Springs Spongers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spongers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

Anclote took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-16, 22-25, 25-18, 15-11.

Anclote's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Tarpon Springs, their victory ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 8-6.

Coming up, Anclote will venture away from home to take on Hudson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tarpon Springs, they will square off against Palm Harbor University at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
