The West Ranch Wildcats are taking a road trip to take on the La Mirada Matadores at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. West Ranch is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for La Mirada's offense. They fell just short of Gahr by a score of 2-0 on Friday. Surprisingly, this marked the Matadores' third straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

La Mirada has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-6 record this season. As for West Ranch, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-7.

La Mirada's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: West Ranch has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .444. It's a different story for La Mirada, though, as they've only averaged .362. Will they be able to contain West Ranch's hitters?

West Ranch took their win against La Mirada when the teams last played back in February of 2022 by a conclusive 11-0 score. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Matadores have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
