Baseball Game Preview: Germantown Mavericks vs. Tupelo Golden Wave

The Germantown Mavericks will take on the Tupelo Golden Wave at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Germantown easily dispatched Vicksburg on Saturday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Germantown fell just short of Tupelo by a score of 6-4 on Monday. The Mavericks' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Germantown saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ashton Smith, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Jackson Estes was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

Tupelo's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Germantown, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.
