Recap: Fabens Wildcats vs. Hanks Knights
This season hasn't been kind to the Fabens Wildcats, who are still winless after their eighth match. They were beaten by Hanks 60-31 on Tuesday. Fabens lost against Hanks in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 85-34 score last time.
Hanks can attribute much of their success to Israel Gonzalez, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 10 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Reveles, who scored 9 points along with 7 rebounds.
Fabens bumped their record down to 0-8 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Hanks, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
Fabens will look to defend their home court on Friday against Irvin at 7:30 p.m. Irvin is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak. As for Hanks, they will head out on the road to face off against Jefferson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Jefferson is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.
