Corona del Mar won the last time they faced Fountain Valley and things went their way on Monday too. The Sea Kings were the clear victors by a 38-13 margin over the Barons. Given the Sea Kings' advantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 107th, while the Barons are ranked 362nd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Corona del Mar's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-13. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.3 points on average over those games. As for Fountain Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season.
