The American Patriots waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins but they left with three. They snuck past Dr. Krop with a 55-51 win. That's another feather in the cap for American, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

American's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kennith Johnson, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and four steals. That's the first time this season that Johnson pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Alexandre Brigitte, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.

Several Lightning players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Emmanuel Ferguson, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 16 rebounds. Ferguson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games he's played. Joseph Washington was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with six rebounds and two steals.

American's victory bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Dr. Krop, they now have a losing record at 7-8.

American will look to defend their home court on Monday against JC Bermudez Doral at 7:30 p.m. JC Bermudez Doral has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 444 points over their last seven matches. As for Dr. Krop, they will head out on the road to take on Jackson at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
