Football Game Preview: Rocky Mount Gryphons vs. Northern Nash Knights + How To Watch

Two dominant backs in Cquarhion Mitchell and Myles Eatmon are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Rocky Mount Gryphons will face off against the Northern Nash Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Rocky Mount is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Hunt just ended the team's seven-game winning streak on Friday. They came up short against the Warriors, falling 30-9. The contest marked the Gryphons' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, Northern Nash had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 34.6 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They came out on top against the Firebirds by a score of 34-21. The score was all tied up 14-14 at the break, but the Knights were the (much) better team in the second half.

Rocky Mount's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 7-2. As for Northern Nash, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1.

Rocky Mount and Northern Nash were almost perfectly matched up in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, but Rocky Mount suffered an agonizing 41-40 defeat. Can the Gryphons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
