Baseball Recap: Wildwood Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Pennsville Memorial, Wildwood was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They never let the Cape May County Tech Hawks get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Hawks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Wildwood got a massive performance out of Broc Denke, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Gianni Troiano, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.

Wildwood's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Cape May County Tech, they dropped their record down to 2-16-1 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Wildwood will head out to square off against Lower Cape May at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Cape May County Tech, they will venture away from home to face off against St. Joseph at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Hawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 8.3 runs per game this season.
