Basketball Recap: Eastland Comes Up Short

Eastland was the 43-35 winner over Millsap when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Eastland Mavericks fell 56-48 to the Millsap Bulldogs on Tuesday. That's two games in a row now that the Mavericks have lost by exactly eight points.

Millsap's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carson Crouch, who went 6 of 13 to rack up 16 points and seven boards. Cr Tippie was another key player, going 5 for 11 on his way to 15 points and four steals.

Eastland's defeat dropped their record down to 3-22. As for Millsap, their victory bumped their record up to 10-22.

Eastland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 72-31 loss against Peaster on the 7th. As for Millsap, they have also already played their next game, an 81-64 win against Early on the 7th.
