Softball Game Preview: Edmonson County Wildcats vs. Trinity Raiders

The Edmonson County Wildcats will venture away from home to challenge the Trinity Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Edmonson County is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

Edmonson County will bounce into Thursday's game after beating Ohio County, who they had gone 0-5 against in their five prior meetings. The Wildcats never let the Eagles get on the board and left with a 2-0 win on Tuesday.

The result came thanks to Julie Norris's shutout, as she gave up just five hits.

On the hitting side, Edmonson County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Price, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Edmonson County hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are 5-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Trinity's offense. They lost 7-0 to Owensboro Catholic on Wednesday. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Trinity's loss dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Edmonson County, they now have a winning record of 13-12.
