Baseball Game Preview: Joplin Eagles vs. Hickman Kewpies

The Joplin Eagles will challenge the Hickman Kewpies at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Joplin had taken Lebanon down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Eagles fell 6-3 to the Yellowjackets. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Hickman didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-22), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over Capital City on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Kewpies in their matchups with the Cavaliers: they've now won four in a row.

Joplin's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Hickman, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.
