Softball Recap: Caldwell Comes Up Short

Caldwell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the West Essex Knights. That's two games in a row now that the Chiefs have lost by just one run.

Caldwell's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13-1. As for West Essex, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-13.

Looking ahead, Caldwell is taking a road trip to square off against Kearny at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West Essex does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
