Bishop Walsh came into Monday's game looking for another win against Paw Paw, but Shayla Tanouye wouldn't allow it. The Paw Paw Pirates took their contest on Monday with ease, bagging a 49-21 victory over the Bishop Walsh Spartans for which the team can thank Tanouye, who shot 57% from the field on her way to 26 points in addition to eight boards and four blocks. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last seven games she's played.

Paw Paw is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.0 points on average over those games. Bishop Walsh has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season.

Paw Paw wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 55-18 loss against Pendleton County on the 28th. As for Bishop Walsh, they will face off against Bloomfield Christian School on March 5th.
