Basketball Game Preview: Skyline Eagles vs. Kearns Cougars

Skyline has gone 4-0 against Kearns recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Skyline Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Kearns Cougars at 7:00 p.m.

Skyline lost 63-41 to Cedar Valley on Monday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Leelu Bare put forth a good effort for the losing side as she posted 11 points along with seven assists and seven boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Estella Myers, who had 12 points.

Meanwhile, Kearns beat Highland 39-29 on Friday.

Kearns found their leader in sophomore Ava Tupou, who posted 18 points in addition to eight boards and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Tupou has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Mina Kinikini, who put up eight points.

The win got Kearns back to even at 2-2. As for Skyline, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Everything came up roses for Skyline against Kearns in their previous meeting back in January of 2017, as the team secured a 76-44 victory. In that match, Skyline amassed a halftime lead of 45-24, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Wednesday.
