Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Tuba City

Tuba City had won two straight games and Eriana Begay did her part to make it three on Saturday. The Tuba City Warriors came out on top against the Ganado Hornets by a score of 76-66 thanks in part to Begay, who went 6 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 30 points. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played.

Another player making a difference was Trece Tsingine, who went 5 of 12 on her way to 13 points and four steals. She is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games.

Ganado's loss came despite strong showings from Faith James and Jasah McIntosh. James went 9 for 22 en route to 24 points, while McIntosh went 8 of 15 on her way to 21 points and six boards. The dominant performance gave McIntosh a new career-high in rebounds. Jayanna White was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 11 points and nine boards.

Tuba City's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-6. As for Ganado, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 11-6.

Tuba City has already played their next game (against Hopi), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Ganado wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 57-39 win against Window Rock on the 14th.
