Softball Game Preview: Northwood Chargers vs. Chatham Charter Knights

The Northwood Chargers will venture away from home to face off against the Chatham Charter Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Northwood has given up an average of 12.7 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Northwood fell victim to Seaforth and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Hawks, falling 15-0. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Chargers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Chatham Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch two weeks ago as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of Clover Garden School.

Chatham Charter's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Northwood, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.
