Basketball Game Preview: Vasquez Mustangs vs. Trinity Classical Academy Knights

The Vasquez Mustangs will face off against the Trinity Classical Academy Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Vasquez has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Vasquez is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Lancaster Baptist: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Vasquez blew Lancaster Baptist out of the water with a 91-54 final score. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 21 points or more this season.

Vasquez found their leader in freshman Carter Parker, who went 9 of 19 en route to 24 points and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Parker has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Gavin Battey, who made all 5 shots he took to post 11 points in addition to seven assists and six boards.

Meanwhile, Trinity Classical Academy was able to grind out a solid win over The Palmdale Aerospace Academy on Monday, taking the game 76-68. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.

Trinity Classical Academy has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points per game. As for Vasquez, their victory bumped their record up to 11-5.
