Recap: Far Northeast W Warriors vs. Denver South Ravens

The Far Northeast W Warriors struggled with threes on Wednesday (the Denver South Ravens had six more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Far Northeast W took a serious blow against Denver South, falling 61-23. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Far Northeast W in their matchups with Denver South: they've now lost nine in a row.

Despite the loss, Far Northeast W saw an underclassman step up: Yaretzi Barraza scored six points along with five rebounds and two steals.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Denver South to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nevaeh Millard, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Moyer, who scored 13 points along with three steals.

Far Northeast W has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for Denver South, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Far Northeast W will head out on the road to square off against Denver East at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Denver East's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven matchups. As for Denver South, they will head out on the road to take on Hinkley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hinkley comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 21 points in their last 13 games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
