Football Game Preview: Copiah Academy Colonels vs. Simpson Academy Cougars

The Copiah Academy Colonels will square off against the Simpson Academy Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Copiah Academy's defense has only allowed 13.6 points per game this season, so Simpson Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Copiah Academy took a loss when they played away from home back in September, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They came out on top against Silliman Institute by a score of 18-8. Those 18 points were actually the fewest the Colonels have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Meanwhile, Simpson Academy's game on Friday was all tied up 14-14 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They walked away with a 21-14 victory over Oak Forest Academy.

The win got Simpson Academy back to even at 3-3. As for Copiah Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
