Basketball Game Preview: Flagstaff Eagles vs. Mingus Marauders

The Flagstaff Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Mingus Marauders at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Flagstaff is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.5 points per game this season.

Flagstaff will head into Tuesday's game on the come-up: they were handed a 34-point defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They skirted past Mohave 57-55.

Harrison Fritsch continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 8 for 12 on his way to 18 points and eight rebounds. What's more, he also racked up three assists, the most he's had since back in January of 2024. Conrad Poer was another key player, putting up ten points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Mingus, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They walked away with a 60-53 victory over Lee Williams on Tuesday.

Mingus' win bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Flagstaff, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season.

Flagstaff beat Mingus 59-47 in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Will Flagstaff repeat their success, or does Mingus have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
