Softball Game Preview: Lincoln Railsplitters vs. East Peoria Raiders

Lincoln hasn't had much luck against East Peoria recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Railsplitters will take on the Raiders at 4:30 p.m.

Lincoln is headed into Monday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Springfield. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since March 22, 2017, but that streak is no more.

Meanwhile, East Peoria made easy work of Normal West on Saturday and carried off a 7-1 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Raiders.

East Peoria now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Lincoln, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.

Lincoln couldn't quite get it done against East Peoria when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 6-1. Can the Railsplitters avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
