Recap: Spring Valley Grizzlies vs. Sierra Vista Mountain Lions

The Spring Valley Grizzlies's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 82-68 to Sierra Vista. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

Despite the loss, Spring Valley still got an impressive performance from Alijah Adem, who scored 31 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. Adem is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. CJ Joshua was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds.

Spring Valley's loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 3-10. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points per game. As for Sierra Vista, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-4.

Spring Valley will be playing at home against Coronado at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Coronado has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,263 points over their last 18 matches. As for Sierra Vista, they will head out on the road to face off against Somerset Sky Pointe at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Somerset Sky Pointe will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Nevada Rankings (they are ranked 71st, while Sierra Vista is ranked 17th).
