Baseball Recap: Blacksher Takes a Loss

Fans were treated to a battle of the Bulldogs on Tuesday. Blacksher fell 9-6 to Brantley. Blacksher has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Blacksher saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was JP Phillips, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Blacksher's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Brantley, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Blacksher will take on St. Luke's Episcopal at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Blacksher's pitchers better be ready for this one: St. Luke's Episcopal has averaged an impressive 9 runs per game this season. As for Brantley, they will be playing at home against Zion Chapel at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
