Softball Game Preview: Bristol Central Rams vs. Glastonbury Guardians

The Bristol Central Rams will face off against the Glastonbury Guardians at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Bristol Central and five for Glastonbury dating back to last season.

Bristol Central came up short against Southington on Wednesday, falling 11-1.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Glastonbury's offense. They lost 10-0 to Enfield on Wednesday. That's two games in a row now that the Guardians have lost by exactly ten runs.

Glastonbury saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddie Scionti, who went 1-for-3 with one double. That double was Scionti's first of the season.

Glastonbury's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Bristol Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Bristol Central suffered a grim 8-0 defeat to Glastonbury when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
