Recap: Morse Tigers vs. Mount Miguel Matadors

The Morse Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 75-54 loss at the hands of Mount Miguel. Even though they lost, Morse's still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 50.2 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Several Tigers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jonathan Smith , who scored 20 points. The match was Smith 's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Jayren Sunico was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.

Mount Miguel's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jasen Hughes led the charge by scoring 16 points. Hughes continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Thaddeus Boudreaux, who scored 13 points.

Morse has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season. As for Mount Miguel, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2.
