Baseball Recap: Jordan-Matthews Takes a Loss

Jordan-Matthews was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 18-3 to the Southern Lee Cavaliers. The Jets were not able to make up for their loss to the Cavaliers from their previous meeting back in March of 2016.

Jordan-Matthews' defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Southern Lee, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jordan-Matthews will head out to square off against North Moore at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Jordan-Matthews has given up an average of 12.6 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Southern Lee, they are taking a road trip to face off against Pinecrest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Southern Lee is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.
