Baseball Recap: South River Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact South River can now relate to. They came up short against the Governor Livingston Highlanders on Thursday, falling 12-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Rams have suffered since April 9, 2024.

Julius Rosado made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. South River is 12-3 when Rosado posts two or more runs, but 4-6 otherwise. Travis Maloney was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one double.

South River's loss dropped their record down to 16-9. As for Governor Livingston, the win keeps they at an undefeated 23-0.

As of now, neither South River nor the Highlanders have any future games scheduled.
