Baseball Recap: Gadsden Panthers vs. Alamogordo Tigers

Gadsden extended their losing streak to 15 on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 5-20-1 in the process. They fell 6-2 to the Alamogordo Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, with their most recent loss being a 8-1 defeat on Thursday.

Gadsden saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Steven Morales, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

As for Alamogordo, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-15. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games.

On Alamogordo's side, Kelan Wall made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. Alamogordo is 3-1 when Wall allows one or fewer earned runs, but 8-14 otherwise. Wall was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Kade Kiss was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Preston Eldred was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
