 It was a good run, but  Cascade unfortunately witnessed the end of their  three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Western Panthers by a score of  11-10. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Cascade of the  8-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in May of 2023.
  Braxton Lewis and  Logan Gibbs stepped up to the plate in a big way.  Lewis  got on base  in four of his six plate appearances with four  RBI, while  Gibbs  got on base  in five of his seven plate appearances with a  stolen base and two  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Toby Savini, who  scored two  runs while going 1-for-5.
 Cascade's defeat  ended  a  four-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 19-5. As for Western, their win was  their sixth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 20-4.
 Cascade will be staying on the road  on Wednesday to face off against Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter at 7:00  p.m. As for Western, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Madison-Grant at 5:30  p.m.  on Monday. Madison-Grant's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4  runs per game  this season, so Western's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
