Valhalla had lost seven straight headed into Tuesday's match, but Luke D'Alessio didn't let it get to eight. The Norsemen came out on top against the Mount Miguel Matadors by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday with plenty of help from D'Alessio, who had 15 digs. He is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 15 or more in each of the last four games he's played.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 21-25, 25-21, 25-17.

Valhalla pushed their record up to 9-16 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Mount Miguel, they are on a 17-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-29.

Coming up, Valhalla will head out to face off against West Hills at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Norsemen are facing the Wolf Pack at the right time seeing as the Wolf Pack are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Mount Miguel, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Monte Vista at 6:30 p.m. The Monarchs will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more sets each contest than the last.
