Basketball Game Preview: The Woodlands Christian Academy Warriors vs. Concordia Lutheran Crusaders

Having just played yesterday, The Woodlands Christian Academy Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Concordia Lutheran Crusaders at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Back in December of 2024, The Woodlands Christian Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 40-35 to Fort Bend Christian Academy. The defeat continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Concordia Lutheran, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They blew past Weatherford Christian, posting a 57-10 victory. The Crusaders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 28 points or more this season.

Concordia Lutheran's win came from a few key players The Woodlands Christian Academy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Kylie Bolz, who went 6 of 13 on her way to 17 points and three steals. Those 17 points gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of KENLEY BENSON, who went 5 of 7 on her way to 12 points.

Concordia Lutheran smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 27 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 11 consecutive matchups.

Concordia Lutheran's win bumped their record up to 13-7. As for The Woodlands Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

The Woodlands Christian Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Concordia Lutheran in their previous meeting back in January of 2021, winning 44-35.
