Monterey won the last time they faced Cumberland County and things went their way on Monday too. The Wildcats blew past the Jets 13-2. Considering the Wildcats have won seven contests by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Dawson Hedgecough made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. He also allowed no hits, which is notable because Monterey is 2-1 when he allows at most one hit, but 9-10 otherwise. Hedgecough was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with one run and one RBI.
