Football Game Preview: Crete-Monee Warriors vs. Kankakee Kays + How To Watch

The Crete-Monee Warriors will head out on the road to take on the Kankakee Kays at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a six-game winning streak alive.

On Friday, Crete-Monee took their game with ease, bagging a 52-7 victory over Bloom. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 124th, while the Blazing Trojan are ranked 365th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter and that's exactly how it played out for Kankakee on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Thornton out of the water with a 52-6 final score. The Kays pushed the score to 37-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Wildcats had no chance of recovering from.

Crete-Monee better keep an eye on Cedric Terrell III. He was instrumental in Kankakee's win, picking up 134 receiving yards and a pair of scores, while also punching in one touchdown on the ground. They also got a significant boost from Kymani Billings, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 90 yards.

Kankakee didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Terrell III and Ezekiel Sherrod Jr.. Kankakee got some further help from Syvean Davilla: he made 12 total tackles (4.0 for loss).

Crete-Monee's record now sits at 6-2. As for Kankakee, their record is now an identical 6-2.
