Baseball Recap: Perryton Victorious

Perryton's game two weeks ago was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Ysleta Indians 11-10. The high-scoring effort was just what the Rangers needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Jaxten Castanon was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-4. Another player making a difference was Cooper Schilling, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and two RBI.

Perryton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Perryton will face off against Sweetwater at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sweetwater's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so Perryton's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Ysleta, they will challenge Amarillo at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
