Football Recap: Campbell Does not Make It Easy on South Cobb's Passing Game + How To Watch

Campbell's game two weeks ago was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 26-10 victory over the South Cobb Eagles. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Davin Lemire continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 100 yards and a pair of scores on only eight carries, while also throwing for 152 yards and one touchdown while completing 73.7% of his passes. Those 100 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Campbell proved: they limited South Cobb to a paltry three yards per carry. While two picked up at least six total tackles, T.O'Thaniel Williams Iv stood above the rest. He picked up a sack and made six total tackles. Campbell's ground attack was stronger, having averaged 5.4.

Campbell's defense didn't let Freedom Jones, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Williams Iv, Tyree Stocker, and Kevin Justice, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Campbell's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-2. As for South Cobb, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Campbell will take on Hillgrove at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans will need to watch out since the Hawks have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for South Cobb, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Harrison at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Jones and Aiden Watson.
