Basketball Recap: Hartford Public Takes Down North Branford in a Playoff Battle

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Hartford Public had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They strolled past the North Branford Thunderbirds with points to spare, taking the game 66-50. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Owls as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

Hartford Public's win bumped their record up to 7-9. As for North Branford, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season.

Hartford Public will venture away from home to face off against Old Lyme at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Old Lyme will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Hartford Public surely won't give up without a fight. North Branford does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
