Softball Recap: Laurel Takes a Loss

Laurel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 20-0 to the Wayne County War Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Golden Tornadoes of the 21-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Laurel's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Wayne County, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-11-1 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Laurel will square off against Perry Central at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wayne County, they will face off against Clarkdale at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
