Breese Central has gone a perfect 10-0 against East Alton-Wood River recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Cougars are taking a road trip to take on the Oilers at 4:30 p.m. Breese Central will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.

Breese Central barely beat Metro-East Lutheran the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cougars blew past the Knights 10-0 on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won eight games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Freeburg hit East Alton-Wood River with a four-run second inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Oilers came up short against the Midgets, falling 8-1. The Oilers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

East Alton-Wood River saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jerald Downs, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Breese Central's win bumped their record up to 14-9. As for East Alton-Wood River, their loss dropped their record down to 7-16.

Everything went Breese Central's way against East Alton-Wood River in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Breese Central made off with a 12-1 victory. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Oilers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
