Doherty hasn't had much luck against Pine Creek recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Spartans will be playing at home against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Tuesday.

Doherty will bounce into Tuesday's match after beating Chaparral, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. The Spartans blew past the Wolverines 4-1 on Thursday. With Doherty ahead 3-0 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

They hit Chaparral with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from MICHAEL BERRY (2), KALEB BRANDON, and MANASSE MAHUNGU.

Meanwhile, Pine Creek faced Battle Mountain in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 6-3 margin over the Huskies. Considering Pine Creek have won five matchups by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Pine Creek, bringing their record up to 8-2-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those four matches. As for Doherty, their victory bumped their record up to 6-7-1.
