Pee Dee Academy had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Wednesday. They blew past the South Florence Bruins 8-1. That's more bragging rights for the Golden Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Pee Dee Academy pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.6 runs over those games. As for South Florence, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-5 record this season.

Pee Dee Academy will take on Loris at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for South Florence, they will square off against Blythewood at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
