Softball Recap: Annapolis' Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Annapolis entered their tilt with Redford Union on Wednesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 14-9. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 19-2 on Monday.

Lexi Cadzow 2026 was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off one hit. Cadzow 2026 was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played.

In other batting news, Annapolis let Kaelyn Clement 2025 and Brooke Bianchi 2025 run wild. Clement 2025 went 3-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and one stolen base, while Bianchi 2025 went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Bianchi 2025 is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Rihanna Diggs 2026, who went 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Annapolis was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .438. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .438 or higher in four consecutive matchups.

Annapolis' victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Redford Union, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Annapolis will venture away from home to face off against Edsel Ford at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Redford Union, they will head out to square off against Southfield Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
