Softball Recap: Weiss Sets Scoring Season-High Against Pflugerville Connally

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Weiss). They never let the Pflugerville Connally Cougars get on the board and left with a 17-0 win on Thursday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Weiss has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-11 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Pflugerville Connally, their defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-21.

Weiss does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pflugerville Connally, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Akins at 9:00 a.m. on June 26. The Cougars are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
