Baseball Recap: Irvin Comes Up Short

Irvin's last matchup with Ysleta could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Wednesday. The Rockets lost 11-2 to the Indians. The loss continues a trend for the Rockets in their meetings with the Indians: they've now lost seven in a row.

Irvin saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Julian Chacon, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Irvin's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9-1. As for Ysleta, they pushed their record up to 9-13 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

While Irvin had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
