When it comes to explaining why North Hills Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Champion Hayden. Despite the final result, he scored 31 points along with six rebounds and three steals. That was a full 52.5% of North Hills Christian's points, marking the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Jerrod Drye Jr., who scored nine points along with five assists.
Victory Christian Center's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Xavier Perry, who scored 18 points.
