Basketball Recap: Jackson Comes Up Short

Jackson lost against North Miami Beach back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Jackson Generals were dealt a 60-8 defeat at the hands of the North Miami Beach Chargers. The Generals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

North Miami Beach found their leader in freshman Serena Volcy, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and ten steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Volcy has scored all season. Yoshaney Cayaso was another key player, dropping a double-double on 11 points and ten steals.

Jackson's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for North Miami Beach, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.

Jackson will look to defend their home court on Friday against Goleman at 3:30 p.m. Goleman's defense has only allowed 23.8 points per game this season, so Jackson's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for North Miami Beach, they are taking a road trip to face off against Miami Beach at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. North Miami Beach is facing Miami Beach at the right time seeing as Miami Beach is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
