It was a good run, but Hamden Hall Country Day unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Suffield Academy Tigers by a score of 6-5. The Hornets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Logan Charboneau was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Carlos Reyes, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Hamden Hall Country Day's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Suffield Academy, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hamden Hall Country Day will challenge Wilbraham & Monson Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Titans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.25 runs per game on average), something the Hornets will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Suffield Academy, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Pomfret School at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Griffins have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season.
