Northampton County waltzed into their game on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. Everything went their way against the Northwest Halifax Vikings as they made off with a 58-38 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 58-52 back in December of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Northampton County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jiyoun Williams, who went 6-for-9 on his way to 16 points in addition to six steals and three blocks. The dominant performance gave Williams a new career-high in blocks. Torrey Harris was another key player, going 7-for-12 to rack up 16 points.

Northampton County's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-5. As for Northwest Halifax, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northampton County will head out to challenge North Edgecombe at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Northwest Halifax, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Weldon at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
