Basketball Recap: Simpson Takes a Loss

After flying high against Harrisonburg last Friday, Simpson came back down to earth. The Simpson Broncos had to suffer through a 53-16 loss at the hands of the St. Joseph's - Plaucheville Eagles. The game marked the Broncos' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Simpson's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for St. Joseph's - Plaucheville, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-7.

Simpson will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Negreet at 5:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. St. Joseph's - Plaucheville and Bunkie will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
